Abstract

This abstract presents a socio-philosophical analysis of gender equality through the lens of the image of women. It argues that representations of women function as both mirrors of existing power relations and engines of normative constraint, shaping education, labor, leadership, and intimate life. Central to the inquiry are theories of social construction, intersectionality, and post-structuralism, alongside ethics of justice and care. The study demonstrates how diverse, non-stereotypical portrayals correlate with expanded opportunities and more inclusive policies, while acknowledging the persistent influence of race, class, and culture. Policy implications emphasize integrated reforms in education, media, and governance.
